Sternbergias are in full bloom all over Israel! Especially appealing because they appear in November when other flowers have yet to blossom, sternbergia blooms resemble large bells, have no leaves, and burst full-blown out of the ground. They last only a few weeks, so come now, before they disappear!  One fantastic site: on the wilderness slopes above Wadi Machreb, near Ma’ale Rehav’am in Gush Etzion.

Hello Aviva and Shmuel,
The trip was wonderful. It was everything that we could have wanted. We saw so much of what we did not see on our first trip. This was definitely the way to see the country. I am sure that it helped that we had a full 2 weeks to do it. We saw art, culture, history, archeology, religion etc., etc. This was certainly a different experience than the mega bus tour we were on 21 years ago!
